It was a real pleasure for me to get out of Raleigh for a couple of days, and travel to the mountains of Pennsylvania for Brittany and Adams wedding. I first met this delightful couple last year when I shot their engagement session at Yates Mill Pond in Raleigh. I knew that they were going to be moving to Pittsburg but we started talking about their wedding plans and one thing led to another and they decided to book me to shoot their wedding! I was very grateful and honored that they chose me to capture their special day. Getting out of Raleigh in the middle of summer heat was a real plus! Even though the mountain weather was still quite warm, I had a great time in a beautiful setting with a lovely couple and their friends and families.
What happens when two PhD’s get married on a hot, July day? You get the perfect storm of happiness with some awesome weather thrown in for good measure.
Melissa and Scott exchanged their vows at the United Methodist Church in Bahama NC. Their reception was held at Treyburn CC. During the reception, the sky opened up and we all experienced a storm that was one of the most violent I’ve seen in a long time. But when it passed, Melissa and Scott were willing to step outside so we could create an incredible shot. I put this shot first in the series so you don’t have to scroll down to find it, but I hope you do take a look at the rest of the images from their wonderful day.
