Duke Chapel wedding

Saturday, July 16th was one of those beautiful, rare summer days in North Carolina. The temperature was mild and the humidity was low. But you would never know based on the heat generated from the spark that Lisa and Jim displayed! This lovely couple had a small ceremony at Duke Chapel where friends and family gathered. Their reception was held at Hope Creek Church in Durham, where, in addition to the usual food and drink, a traditional Chinese tea ceremony was also performed.

Even though I am a Carolina fanboy, I have to admit that Duke Chapel is probably the most beautiful church I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this side of Italy! The service was moving and very touching. Many thanks as well to Lisa’s cousin, a young man from China whose name I cannot pronounce, who graciously helped me by holding my lights for me when the wind kicked up.

I hope you enjoy a few of the photos from Jim and Lisa’s very special day.
