I had the distinct pleasure of photographing this lovely couple’s wedding on Saturday, May 28. Onzaria and Jamaal live in Texas but they have family here in the area so they chose to exchange their vows at the Hilton Mansion on the Hill in RTP. They had a beautiful, candlelight ceremony followed by their reception. Both the bride and groom were a true joy to work with as I’m sure the photos will attest.
Hilton Catering manager, Lauren Panameno, kept things running smoothly while wedding coordinator, Samantha Dockery of Bliss by Sam handled all the many details of the wedding. The flowers were provided by Fresh Affaris and the lovely cake was created by Ashley Cakes. Lighting for the reception was created by Total Production Services Mark Toney from Joe Bunn DJ company kept the music playing while serving as DJ. My assistant for this event, Lee Dawson, handled all the photobooth chores. This was our first time running a photobooth and it was a huge hit with the crowd!
The hardest part for me is deciding which photos, out of the hundreds I snapped during the day, to display. Here are just a few for your viewing pleasure.

Take two wonderful people, add a touch of humor, mix in some charm, stir well and serve with love and you get…..Jon & Kristi. This delightful couple exchanged their vows on Saturday, May 21st at Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh. The reception was held at Sisters Garden of Eating, where Marc and his crew did their usual fantastic job of keeping everything running smoothly.
The wedding party was one of the largest I’ve had in a while with 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen. At times it was like herding cats, but everyone was into the spirit of the day. I had a lot of fun with them and you can tell by looking at the photos that Jon & Kristi had the time of their life!

Kristi came up with this idea for a “pre-ceremony” shot of the two of them together, but without seeing each other. I loved it!

This is how you make an entrance!

They say that if it rains on your wedding day, it’s a sign of good luck. If that’s the case, then Rachael and Jason are going to be one very lucky couple!
Their wedding took place on Saturday, May 14th at the Wagner House in Clayton, NC. The wedding coordinator and owner, Brenda Avent, and her staff did a wonderful job of turning the grounds of this historic home in the heart of Clayton into a very delightful wedding fairyland with a beautiful gazebo setting in the back yard. Unfortunately the weather had other plans. Just before the ceremony was to begin, the sky opened up. The ceremony was quickly rerouted into the parlor and all the guests moved into place. But Jason and Rachael took it all in stride and didn’t let a little rain spoil their big day. Luckily the rest of the evening went off without a hitch and the happy couple and their guests enjoyed the companionship of their friends and family.
I captured so many photos of the event that it was very hard for me to narrow down my selection to just a few for my blog. But I think these photos illustrate the warmth and happiness that Jason and Rachael seem to radiate to those around them.
Enjoy!!
