The day after hurricane Irene skirted Raleigh, I met up with Krystal and Jonathan for a “mini” engagement session at the Raleigh Arboretum. We only had an hour to shoot but I got some great images of this lovely couple.

I will be shooting their wedding later this fall so I asked Krystal how they met. She emailed me the following delightful story:

“Jonathan and I met March of 2008. I was on Spring Break from ECU. I had never been to downtown Raleigh and wanted to explore. I called some of my fraternity brothers ( in my fraternity everyone is called brother) and we all met downtown. One of my brothers brought three of his friends– Jonathan was one of them. I tease Jonathan, because I completely ignored him the entire night until we stopped to get a bite to eat. He was being very quiet and anti-social. I had talked to everyone that night except for him. So I went to him and said hi. We started talking. One year and 9 months later he proposed! ”

I guess it proves that sometimes a simple greeting can change your life!
